Heraldic practices of Rheinbergen
Are there any plans to regulate the bearing of arms by citizens, for example by the College of Arms establishing a register or roll of arms?
Things like the restriction of certain motifs (e.g. crowns on helms, etc) by rank (knights, nobility, royalty) might need to be addressed.
Regards,
Tony

Re: Heraldic practices of Rheinbergen
Tony, thanks for your interest.
The College of Arms is in the midst of addressing just these issues. As a new nation we didn't want to wait for all the little cultural kinks to be completely ironed out before opening ourselves to immigration.
Heraldic practice in Rheinbergen is a work in progress, and it is coming along at a slow but steady pace. As guidelines firm up we will post them in the forum.
Thanks again,
Goldenring

Re: Heraldic practices of Rheinbergen
Thanks for the response, Goldenring!
If I can be of any assistance to the College, please let me know - I have some practice with heraldic jurisdiction from the SCA, where my duties include making sure that heraldry submitted for registration is appropriate in style and free of conflict with previously registered arms.
